Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, MI, Scott L. became interested in the paranormal as a
young child when he bought his first book 'Haunted Houses' by Larry Kettelkamp at a garage sale
for $.25. Intrigued and frightened by this book, Scott L. developed an adolescent interest in the
paranormal that rooted itself firmly into the little boys mind through the present day: "For a
while, with college going on and being a professional musician, I didn't have time to really pursue
the paranormal field as extensively as I wanted to." It was when Scott L graduated from
Wayne State University with a major in Operational Logistics and minor in Information Systems
Development that he now had the time to pursue his passion. How did he get into radio though?
'Honestly, I have wanted to do radio for a very long time. I had some downtime from playing music
about 5 years ago, and it was a something that went through my mind a lot. Unfortunately, I had
no contacts at the time to break in and try to pursue it. When I met Doug after doing a lot of
ghosthunting and talking about the paranormal, he asked if I wanted to try to do an internet talk
show on the subject(s), I jumped at the opportunity.' In addition to being one of the creators of
Ghostly Talk, Scott L. is the webmaster/caretaker for the now defunct speed metal band Holy
Terror.
Doug (aka "Skizz") has been interested in paranormal topics ever since checking out a book
about witchcraft from his elementary school library. He has read many books about paranormal
subjects, with his favorite topics being out of body experiences, Edgar Cayce, ESP, prophesy,
and ghosts. While surfing the internet in 2001, he was happy to learn that other folks actually
went prowling about cemeteries and haunted places looking for ghosts. Since then, he has been
an avid ghost hunter. Doug had done terrestrial radio before at WTWR, the station at the
University of Detroit. He received his Bachelor's degree in Management Sciences and Information
Systems from the University of Detroit. Upon meeting Scott L on ghost hunts, Doug suggested
doing an internet talk show about ghost hunting. The premier of Ghostly Talk in February 2002
streamed to a total listening audience of one (1) computer, though two (2) people were listening.
Doug continues to ghost hunt and co-host Ghostly Talk from Fraser, Michigan, a suburb of
Detroit.
Jeff Belanger leads a very haunted life. He’s been fascinated with the supernatural since age ten

supernatural. The site has since grown to become the largest paranormal community on the Web,
attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors per year. Over the years, Jeff has interviewed
hundreds of people about their experiences with the profound. His objective approach to the
subject makes the supernatural accessible to a wide audience. He brings personality and humor

TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) is headed by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, and is a
close-knit group of paranormal researchers. Built on Jason and Grant's mutual interest in getting
to the bottom of everyday, paranormal occurrences, TAPS is an eclectic but unified bunch - and
certainly not what you'd expect to find at the forefront of paranormal investigation. They're neither
PhD scientists, nor zany, theatrical hotline psychics. Jason and Grant are plumbers by trade, and
their TAPS colleagues are in similarly ordinary professions. Factory worker, office manager,
teacher - these are respected members of a small, blue-collar Rhode Island community where
many of the TAPS members were born and raised.
Upon meeting, Jason and Grant became fast friends; both possessed a marked interest in
paranormal research. Soon, they began to seek out others like themselves - people with a
level-headed, driving interest in the paranormal. Within a year, TAPS was formed, and through
word of mouth it developed a reputation for helping people with unusual domestic problems.
Originally headquartered in a spare room of Jason's apartment, TAPS fields phone calls, emails,
and personal visits from people who have had, or claim to have had, a nonphysical entity
interfering with their lives. Depending on the nature of the haunting, a select group of TAPS field
researchers will load equipment into a van and drive sometimes as far as 300 miles to investigate.
Despite the expenses they incur on gas, equipment (infrared cameras, night-vision goggles and
the like), and time off from their day jobs, they know they could never charge for their services;
that would make them much more likely to be labeled charlatans.
It has been more than a decade since Jason and Grant met. Since then TAPS has grown in size
and scope to become one of the most respected paranormal-investigation groups in America. It
now has branches across the United States and affiliates in 12 other countries. TAPS members
are, like Jason and Grant, humble, self-assured, and inquisitive; they search for answers, but are
comfortable with unsolved or unproven conclusions. Through the years, Jason and Grant have
not forgotten why they do this - to find answers for themselves and to help others who have
experienced paranormal activity but don't know what to do about it.
Today, TAPS' founder, Jason, is in his early 30s, a plumber and the father of three girls and twin
sons. Jason enjoys spending quality time with his children, deep-sea fishing, and writing
screenplays - he has written four in the science fiction/thriller genre. Grant, the father of three
young boys, is also a plumber, as well as Jason's confidante and best friend. Their families are
close - Jason's kids consider Grant an adopted uncle and Grant's kids view Jason the same way.
Their wives, also friends, are respectful of the TAPS mission but keep their distance. Each one
has asked her husband not to bring his paranormal work home with him.
When he's not hunting ghosts or holding down a day job, Grant enjoys whipping up a mean Italian
dish (he spent two years in Italy and speaks the language fluently), writing songs on the piano
and guitar, and penning a 25-volume series of high-fantasy novels.
